National Palace of Pena, Sintra, Chapel
Portugal

The chapel of the old convent of Nossa Senhora da Pena still has the original configuration of the 16th century. The small nave has a vaulted warhead and 16th century tiles. Noteworthy is the altarpiece made by the Frenchman Nicolau de Chanterene (1529-1532) and the stained glass window of the neo-Gothic window (1840-1841), commissioned by D. Fernando from a famous family of stained glass builders in Nuremberg, the Kellners.
