Monastery of Batalha, western facade
Portugal

When we approach the Main Facade, we are faced with a totally sculpted portal, defined by an arc of curved and curved lines (conopial or carena) that ends in a pointed part where the coat of arms of D. João I and D. Filipa de Lencastre. At the top Christ appears crowning the Virgin and only then, within the arch itself, separating these images from the others, does everything else appear.
